Historical background

QUINCTIA

(126 BC)

The Quinctia gens, a patrician family, often obtained high offices. For H. Grueber, Titus Quinctius Flaminus assumes the function of consul in 123 AC with Quintus Caecilius Metellus. It should rather be seen as a familiar of this consul, his son perhaps, who will fill the charge of money in 126 AC.
