Patine grise hétérogène légèrement irisée avec des traces d’oxydations notamment sur la tranche. Présence de quelques coups et rayures, notamment sur la tranche

Obverse description : Buste de Marianne de profil à droite, coiffée d’un bonnet phrygien et d’une couronne de laurier. Signé : AD. RIVET.

Commentary
Exemplaire decerné au général Gaultier. Il semble s’agir de Louis-Antoine Gaultier (1898-1970) commençant l’armée par une mobilisation en 1917, affecté au 4e régiment de zouaves où il sera successivement caporal, sergent, puis aspirant. Il sera nommé sous-lieutenant en 1919 au 1er Régiment étranger (Légion étrangère) où il fera quasiment toute sa carrière.
