Exemplaire sur un flan irrégulier, large et ovale bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait à l’usure superficielle. Joli revers. Jolie patine vert olive clair, légèrement bouchée

Reverse description : Genio Senatus (le Génie du Sénat) vêtu de la toge debout à gauche, tenant une branche de laurier de la main droite et un sceptre court de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestate Consul iterum Pater Patriæ”, (Grand pontife revêtu de la puissance tribunitienne consul pour la deuxième fois père de la patrie).

Pupien was proclaimed emperor together Balbin. After the death of Maximin, he returned to Rome. Some disagreement arose between the two co-emperors who eventually were both murdered by the Praetorian between late April and early May after the new timeline established by A. and M. Christol Chastagnol.
