Exemplaire ayant été anciennement nettoyée. Jolie patine grise hétérogène. De petites marques d’usure. La médaille est conservée dans sa pochette en cuir d’origine timbré ASSEMBLÉE CONSULTATIVE PROVISOIRE

Cet insigne fut remis à René Nicod, né le 18 juillet 1881 à Saint-Claude dans le Jura et décédé le 14 mars 1950 à Oyonnax dans l’Ain, fut député au cours de la troisième république en deux mandats du 16 novembre 1919 au 31 mai 1924 (socialiste), et du 3 mai 1936 au 31 mai 1942 (communiste). Le 10 juillet 1940, à Vichy, il est un des quatre-vingts parlementaires à refuser les pleins pouvoirs au maréchal Pétain. Il siégera à l’Assemblée consultative provisoire du 16 mars 1945.

The Provisional Government of the French Republic (GPRF) is the name given to the French Committee for National Liberation (CFLN) led by General de Gaulle since June 1944 and in anticipation of the Allied landings. Recognized by the United States, little by little, the Provisional Government of the French Republic saw its authority extend to the liberated regions. This government was installed in Paris on August 31, 1944 and was reorganized in September to allow the entry of personalities from the internal resistance. This government remained in office until January 16, 1947, the date of the election of Vincent Auriol as President of the Fourth Republic. At its head are General de Gaulle, Félix Gouin, Georges Bidault and Léon Blum..
