Commentary
La Compagnie Royale d'Afrique fut fondée en 1560. Après avoir été dissoute en 1710, elle fut reformée en 1741 avant d'être supprimée définitivement sous la Révolution. La Compagnie royale d'Afrique fut autorisée en 1773 à frapper des jetons d'argent à concurrence de 3.000 livres. Ces jetons furent frappés en 1774.
The Royal African Company was founded in 1560. After being dissolved in 1710, it was reformed in 1741 before being permanently abolished during the Revolution. The Royal African Company was authorized in 1773 to mint silver tokens up to 3,000 livres. These tokens were minted in 1774.
