Il existe deux séries de jetons, qui se différencient par leur graphisme : il s’agit ici de la seconde. La plupart des monnaies de nécessité de la Prison Saint Lazare est contremarqué de un, deux ou trois B, le plus souvent au revers et rarement à l’avers.
