Commentary
Louis Charles Antoine Desaix est un général français qui s'est illustré lors des guerres révolutionnaires et sous les ordres de Bonaparte, notamment en Égypte et en Italie. Il mourut à Marengo au cours d’une charge en 1800. Il est inhumé dans la chapelle des Hospitaliers du Grand Saint-Bernard le 19 juin 1805.
Louis Charles Antoine Desaix was a French general who distinguished himself during the Revolutionary Wars and under Bonaparte, notably in Egypt and Italy. He died at Marengo during a charge in 1800. He was buried in the chapel of the Hospitallers of the Great Saint Bernard on June 19, 1805.
