Commentary
This medal is missing from the Essling Collection, which is relatively complete for the period. The association of the obverse, from the coronation medal, and this reverse seems unprecedented and differs slightly from lot no. 1057 of COINS 52. The difference lies in the legend under the bust. On the COINS 52 medal, the legend was DENON DIRET./ DROZ F., whereas on our medal, it is DROZ F./ AN XIII.
