Rarissime pré-série frappée à seulement 21 exemplaires ; c’est la première fois que nous proposons un exemplaire à la vente. Des essais de pression composés de 8 à 12 pièces - ou “gammes de frappe” - ont été réalisés par Raymond Joly (graveur général de l’époque). Il s’agit ici très probablement d’un exemplaire finalisé, la chouette comportant tous les détails de gravure ; en outre, le listel est complet et bien net.
Extremely rare pre-series struck in only 21 copies; this is the first time we are offering a example for sale. Pressure tests composed of 8 to 12 pieces - or “strike ranges” - were carried out by Raymond Joly (general engraver of the time). This is most likely a finalized example, the owl including all the engraving details; in addition, the rim is complete and very clean
