Reverse description : Galère voguant à gauche avec quatre rameurs et un pilote placé sous l'acrostolium.

Commentary
Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Poids lourd pour un sesterce officiel. Quatre rameurs, un pilote, neuf rames et un gouvernail.

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
