Exemplaire bien centré des deux cotés sur un petit flan ovale. Joli portrait mais revers mou. Patine gris foncé

Obverse description : Buste radié, drapé et cuirassé de Postume à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A).

Reverse description : Sol radié, nu, courant à gauche, le manteau flottant sur l'épaule gauche, levant la main droite et tenant un fouet de la main gauche.

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
