Reverse description : Hercule nu, debout à gauche, tenant une branche de laurier de la main droite et la massue sur laquelle est enroulée la léonté de la gauche.
Reverse translation : “Herculi Pacifero”, (À Hercule qui apporte la paix).
Commentary
Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges invisibles. Légende de droit ponctuée. Hercule plus mince, légèrement stylisé. H. Schulzki signale que les antoniniens avec légende ponctuée, op. cit., p. 52, note 27 sont moins courants.

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
