Exemplaire sur un flan irrégulier et échancré à 6 et à 8 heures au droit. Beau portrait, déjà massif de Postume. Très joli revers bien venu à la frappe. Patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés

Obverse translation : “Imperator Cæsar Postumus Pius Felix Augustus”, (L’empereur césar Postume pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : HERC DEVS-ONIENSI.

Reverse description : Hercule nu, debout à droite, la léonté flottant sur l'épaule gauche, s'appuyant sur sa massue de la main droite et tenant un arc de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Herculi Deusoniensi”, (À Hercule de Deutz).

Commentary

Poids extrêmement lourd. Portrait de type 3. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Légende ponctuée au droit. Beaucoup plus rare avec la césure DEVS-ONIENSI (cf. MONNAIES VII, n° 248).
