Bel exemplaire en métal d’aspect jaune (laiton?). Peu d’usure. Aucun manque au niveau des pierres semi-précieuses

Obverse description : Décoration à base de brillant de couleur jaune/marron et un motif ouvragé composé de volutes et feuilles, en relief par rapport à la base du porte-monnaie qui présente des lignes horizontales agrémentées de carré.

Cet exemplaire, de forme ovale avec un “pompon” décoratif et une chaîne de poignet, s’ouvre en deux et permet de placer une monnaie de 21 mm et une monnaie de 18 mm.
L’emplacement pour mettre la pièce est lisse. L’intérieur du couvercle est lisse et pouvait peut-être permettre de placer un miroir ou de quoi se poudrer.

This oval-shaped coin purse, with a decorative tassel and wrist chain, opens in two halves to hold a 21 mm coin and an 18 mm coin. The coin slots are smooth. The inside of the lid is also smooth and may have held a mirror or powder compact.

From the Middle Ages until the middle of the 19th century, deniers, écus, and then the first francs and centimes, were carried in purses, alms pouches, or small leather change purses, often attached to the belt.
