Reverse description : Représentation d’une pastorale de François Boucher, L’arrivée du courrier. Une jeune femme (bergère?) voit arriver le pigeon voyageur, une enveloppe accroché à son cou. Chien debout et mouton assis à droite de la jeune fille. Paysage bucolique et forestier à l’arrière plan.

Commentary

Diamètre sans le bouton-poussoir : 55,5 mm

Cet exemplaire, de forme ronde, s’ouvre en deux et permet de placer une monnaie de 21,5 mm, une monnaie de 18,5 mm et une monnaie de 18,5 mm également.

L’emplacement pour mettre la pièce est doré et guilloché formant une rosace, avec au centre un point lisse. L’intérieur du couvercle est lisse et présente une partie de la gravure en négatif. Bouton-poussoir joliment ouvragé.
Diameter without the push-button: 55.5 mm. This round coin holder opens in two halves, accommodating one 21.5 mm coin, one 18.5 mm coin, and one 18.5 mm coin. The coin slot is gilded and guilloché, forming a rosette with a smooth dot in the center. The inside of the lid is smooth and features a portion of the engraving in negative. The push-button is beautifully crafted.
