Obverse description : Forme de blason entouré de fleur le tout placé sur un métal travaillé de sorte à créer de fines écailles. Le tour est également travaillé de motifs curviligne décoré de traits.

Bouton de pression cannelé.

Bélière ornée d’un poinçon cygne.

Cet exemplaire, de forme ronde, s’ouvre et permet de placer une 20 francs or (diamètre : 22,5 mm).

L’emplacement pour mettre la pièce présente un motif semblant imité le canevas d’une chaise en osier.
Le pourtour de l’emplacement est poinçonné d’un crabe et l’intérieur du couvercle du chiffre “148” et d’une grande chimère à droite entourée d’un listel avec différent entre l’aile et la croupe. On note que ce différent est utilisé pour l’horlogerie d’importation du 10 mai 1838 au 28 juin 1893 avant d’être remplacé en 1893 par le poinçon cygne.
Dimensions: 40 x 31 mm. Fluted snap button. Loop decorated with a swan hallmark. This round example opens to hold a 20-franc gold coin (diameter: 22.5 mm). The coin slot features a pattern resembling the weave of a wicker chair. The edge of the slot is hallmarked with a crab, and the inside of the lid with the number “148” and a large chimera on the right, surrounded by a border with a hallmark between the wing and the rump. This hallmark was used for imported watches from May 10, 1838, to June 28, 1893, before being replaced in 1893 by the swan hallmark.
