Commentary


Lancé en 1979, la frégate lance-missile USS Clark est cédée en 2000 par les États-unis à la Pologne. Elle est alors rebaptisée Général Kazimierz Pułaski. Ce général polonais qui combattit au côtés de Lafayette et de Washington lors de la guerre d’indépendance et fut mortellement blessé lors du siège de Savannah.
Cette monnaie fait partie d’une série consacrée à la Marine Polonaise.
Launched in 1979, the guided-missile frigate USS Clark was transferred to Poland by the United States in 2000. It was then renamed General Kazimierz Pułaski. This Polish general fought alongside Lafayette and Washington during the War of Independence and was mortally wounded during the Siege of Savannah. This coin is part of a series dedicated to the Polish Navy.
