Commentary
Le navire Warszawa est un destroyer modifié de la classe Kashin. Construit en 1966 au chantier naval Nikolaïev, ce destroyer soviétique est baptisé Smelyi (Vaillant). En 1987, il est loué à la Marine Polonaise qui le rebaptise ORP Warszawa. En 1992, il devient propriété polonaise en règlement de dettes soviétiques dues au chantier de Gdynia. Il est désarmé en 2003 et détruit en 2005.

The Warszawa is a modified Kashin-class destroyer. Built in 1966 at the Nikolayev shipyard, this Soviet destroyer was named Smelyi (Valiant). In 1987, it was leased to the Polish Navy, which renamed it ORP Warszawa. In 1992, it became Polish property in settlement of Soviet debts owed to the Gdynia shipyard. It was decommissioned in 2003 and scrapped in 2005. This coin is part of a series dedicated to the Polish Navy.
