Le général Stanislaw Maczek (1892-1994) était un commandant de blindés de l’armée polonaise. Il se bat en Pologne en 1939 puis fait la campagne de France en 1940. A la tête de la 1ère division blindée polonaise formée en 1942, il participe entre autres à la prise de la poche de Falaise. Exilé en 1948 et déchu de sa nationalité polonaise, il meurt en exil à Edimbourg..
General Stanislaw Maczek (1892-1994) was an armored commander in the Polish Army. He fought in Poland in 1939 and then fought in the French Campaign in 1940. As leader of the 1st Polish Armored Division, formed in 1942, he participated in the capture of the Falaise Pocket, among other missions. Exiled in 1948 and stripped of his Polish nationality, he died in exile in Edinburgh.
