Commentary


Gabriel Taschereau de Baudry né à Tours le 15 mars 1673 et mort à Paris le 22 avril 1755, est un administrateur français de l'Ancien Régime.
Il est lieutenant général de police de la ville de Paris de 1720 à 1722 sous Louis XV. Intendant des Finances, il entre au Conseil royal des Finances. En 1740, il devient conseiller d'État.

Gabriel Taschereau de Baudry, born in Tours on March 15, 1673 and died in Paris on April 22, 1755, was a French administrator of the Ancien Régime. He was lieutenant general of police for the city of Paris from 1720 to 1722 under Louis XV. Intendant of Finance, he joined the Royal Council of Finance. In 1740, he became a State Councilor.
