Droit très confus, mais beau revers. Flan un peu court et irrégulier. Patine sombre et hétérogène, très légèrement piquée, surtout au droit

Obverse description : Tête à droite, la coiffure en mèches dites "aquitaniques" ; grènetis.

Reverse description : Cheval androcéphale à droite ; la tête retournée, la queue enroulée et un membre sexuel surdéveloppé entre les jambes.
Commentary
Ce bronze avait été identifié comme provenant des environs de Poitiers mais il a été retenu dans le Nouvel Atlas dans les émissions des Bituriges et des Lémovices. L’atelier a récemment été localisé à Migné-Auxances (à quelques kilomètres au nord de Poitiers) où furent découverts des creusets et des flans ; une pré-étude a été publiée dans le catalogue de l’exposition “Argent caché... et retrouvé - Les trésors monétaires découverts en Deux-Sèvres”.
