Monnaie frappée sur un flan rectangulaire, avec un joli cheval au revers et un droit assez intéressant. Patine sombre

Deuxième exemplaire avec cette variété que nous proposons à la vente !
Ce bronze avait été identifié comme provenant des environs de Poitiers mais il a été retenu dans le Nouvel Atlas dans les émissions des Bituriges et des Lémovices.
L’atelier a récemment été localisé à Migné-Auxances (à quelques kilomètres au nord de Poitiers) où furent découverts des creusets et des flans ; une pré-étude a été publiée dans le catalogue de l’exposition “Argent caché... et retrouvé - Les trésors monétaires découverts en Deux-Sèvres”.
Second example with this variety that we are offering for sale! This bronze had been identified as coming from the Poitiers area but it was included in the New Atlas in the Bituriges and Lémovices issues. The workshop was recently located in Migné-Auxances (a few kilometers north of Poitiers) where crucibles and blanks were discovered; a preliminary study was published in the catalog of the exhibition “Hidden Money... and Found - Monetary Treasures Discovered in Deux-Sèvres”
