Exemplaire sur un petit flan irrégulier bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait expressif de Pertinax. Revers de style fin bien venu à la frappe. Patine grise de collection ancienne

Reverse description : Providentia (la Providence) drapée debout à gauche, tendant la main droite ; au-dessus un astre.

Pertinax, born in 126, performs a brilliant military and senatorial career. It is prefect of the city at the time of the assassination of Commodus. Emperor appointed 1 January 193, his reforms dislike, especially the Praetorians, and he was killed after a reign of eighty-six days, March 28.
