PERSIA - FATH-ALI SHAH QAJAR

(1797-1834/ A.H. 1212-1250)

The Turkoman tribe of the Qadjars came to power at the end of the 18th century, after a new civil war: Agha Mohammad Khan made the small town of Tehran his capital in 1786 and was crowned there. The Qajar dynasty governs Iran until 1925. The reign of Fath Ali Shah (1797-1834) is marked by the beginning of the direct influence of the great powers in Persia.
