The kingdom of Paeonia gained independence after the death of Perdiccas III, king of Macedonia in 359 BC Before the bellicosity of Philip II of Macedonia, Lykkeios and its successor, Patraos (340 (359 to 340 AC.) - 315 AC.) were turbulent neighbors. After the death of Audoléon (315-286 AC)., Paeonia was held in Macedonia.
