Cette monnaie est frappée sur un flan très large. On doit noter une faiblesse de frappe sur la tête du soldat du droit qui se retrouve dans la légende du revers, à 1 heure. Le flan est légèrement taché à 2 heures au droit et sur la tranche

On January 23, 1579, the five provinces of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland and Friesland United Provinces formed a federal state during the Union of Utrecht. The province of Overijssel joined the five provinces in the same year, that of Groningen in 1594. In July 1581, the deputies of the northern provinces declared Philip II deposed.
