The Merovingian currencies of Paris are broken down into royal, palatine, palatine school, tax, monetary and denarius gold coins. The so-called beaded appendage type constitutes a group copying the Orleans triens minted from the end of the 6th century. This type owes its name to the growth placed behind the head of the law and which consists of two lines and a row of pearls. This type spread in the West and even in the Paris region.
