Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau visage de Sinope à l’usure régulière. Très joli revers de style fin. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

PAPHLAGONIA - SINOPE
(365-322 BC)
Sinope, a colony of Miletus, was founded in the 7th century BC. Located on the northern coast of Pont-Euxin, a maritime city, it was one of the most important ports in the region. The introduction of the new type with the head of the nymph Sinope corresponds to the installation of the democratic regime in Sinope in 453 BC by the Athenians. The satrap Datames captured Sinope around 375 BC..
