Historical background
PAPHLAGONIA - CROMNA
(4th century BC)
The exact location of Cromna is not known. It was located on the coast bathing the Pont-Euxin near Amastris and Sesamos. Minting does not seem to begin before 330 BC. The city was abandoned around 300 BC to form the new city of Amastris with the inhabitants of Sesamos and Cytoros.
