Très bel exemplaire avec de bons reliefs et une patine grise ancienne. Les portraits sont très expressifs. Légère usure sur les zones de plus haut relief

PAPAL STATES - ALEXANDER IV

(20/12/1254-25/05/1261)

He was elected pope on September 12, 1254 and consecrated on December 20. In 1256, the bull Romanus pontifex condemns the adversaries of the mendicant orders (Dominicans, Franciscans...). He was expelled from Rome and died in Viterbo on May 25, 1261..
