Flan ovale, très large et complet des deux côtés. Beau portrait, bien centré, de joli style. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Une épaisse patine grise recouvre l’exemplaire

Reverse legend : ALEXANDROU/ AS/ IS.

Un contremarque à l’ancre, placée verticalement derrière le nom d’Alexandre au revers.

PAMPHYLIA - ASPENDOS

(3rd - 2nd century BC)

Aspendos, located twelve kilometers from the summit of Eurymedon, was a great economic place and had a large port on the coast. Aspendos remained loyal to the Persians until the arrival of Alexander the Great and resisted him before being taken in 333 BC. Aspendos belonged to the kingdom of Pergamum between 189 and 133 BC.
