Exemplaire sur un flan large bien centré. Tête d’Héraklès taillée à la serpe, de frappe un peu molle. Revers de style fin, bien venu à la frappe. Patine grise superficielle. A été nettoyé anciennement

Obverse description : Tête d'Héraklès à droite, coiffée de la léonté; grènetis circulaire.

Reverse description : Zeus aétophore assis à gauche, les jambes croisées, nu jusqu'à la ceinture, tenant un aigle posé sur sa main droite et un long sceptre de la gauche ; une fronde sous le trône.
Reverse legend : ALEXANDROU/ AS/ G.

Nous n’avons pas relevé d’identité de coin pertinente pour ce type. Il y avait cinq exemplaires dans le trésor de Mektepini (IGCH. 1410, n° 542-546.

PAMPHYLIA - ASPENDOS
(3rd - 2nd century BC)
Aspendos, located twelve kilometers from the summit of Eurymedon, was a great economic place and had a large port on the coast. Aspendos remained loyal to the Persians until the arrival of Alexander the Great and resisted him before being taken in 333 BC. Aspendos belonged to the kingdom of Pergamum between 189 and 133 BC.
