Coments on the condition:
Bel exemplaire, avec un droit complet et un revers légèrement décentré au niveau de l'aurige. Frappe un peu molle au droit et un léger défaut de métal au revers (sous la barrière)

Commentary
A peine une quinzaine d'exemplaires sont répertoriés dans le Moneta. Ce quart existe avec la tête à droite ou à gauche. Cet exemplaire, bien qu'avec la tête à gauche, est la division de la monnaie précédente. Au droit, le cordon perlé est bien net et terminé par un fleuron, devant la tête principale.

GALLIA - ARMORICA - OSISMII (Area of Carhaix - Finistère)
(2nd - 1st centuries BC)
The Osismes were an Armorican people, settled in the current department of Finistère, at the northwestern end of Gaul and the Armorican coasts. They had as chief town Vorgium, today Carhaix. Their neighbors were the Veneti and the Coriosolites. Their name would mean "the furthest away" or "the people at the end of the world". They were subjugated by Caesar's army in 57 along with the other Armorican peoples. But from 56, they joined the coalition led by the Venetians. They will participate in the contingent of twenty-five thousand men provided in 52 BC to the army of the Gallic coalition by the Armorican peoples. Caesar (BG. II, 34, III, 9, VII, 75, 1).
