Obverse description : Tête à gauche, la chevelure en trois grosses mèches ; cordons perlés enroulés autour .

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Reverse description : Cheval androcéphale à gauche ; au-dessus, restes de l’aurige ; la “barrière d’hippodrome” entre les jambes du cheval et une rouelle devant le poitrail.

Commentary

Avec le n° 55 ce quart ne correspond pas à la numérotation du trésor de Guingamp pour les quarts à la barrière (n° 185-190) ; il provient plus vraisemblablement de Plouguernau.
A peine une quinzaine d'exemplaires sont répertoriés dans le Moneta. Ce quart existe avec la tête à droite ou à gauche.
With the number 55 this quarter does not correspond to the numbering of the Guingamp treasure for the quarters at the barrier (numbers 185-190); it more likely comes from Plouguernau. Barely fifteen examples are listed in the Moneta. This quarter exists with the head on the right or left
