Après de longues discussions préliminaires, le traité des Pyrénées est signé en 1660. Il met un terme à la guerre que se livrent la France et l'Espagne depuis 1635 et prévoit pour consacrer le traité le mariage de Louis XIV avec l'infante Marie-Thérèse d'Espagne. Buste très rare.
