Commentary
Au droit, nous avons les tria nomina de l’augusta, Sallustia Barbia Orbiana qui était d’origine patricienne, fille de Seius Sallustius. Le buste présente une chevelure crantée surmonté du stephané.

Wife of Severus Alexander
Little information is available on Empress Orbiane. She married Alexander Severus in 225 but, having displeased the august's mother, she would eventually be banished to Africa. It is interesting to note the doubling of the G of CONCORDIA AVGG on certain reverse legends. Such a doubling would seem to indicate that Orbiane received important powers, likely to justify the jealousy of Julia Mamée.
