Ce type est frappé suite à la loi du 6 janvier 1896. La pièce est fabriquée entre 1896 et 1926 dans le cadre de l'Union Latine, puis jusqu'à 1935. Ce type 1935 L a été frappé à titre boursier en 1945, 1947 et 1949.
