Ce type est parfois attribué à l’atelier de Rusicade (Philippeville, Algérie) ou d’Utique (Tunisie). L’attribution est controversée. Jacques Alexandropoulos semble pencher pour Utique qui était l’ennemi irréductible de Carthage.

NUMIDIA - RUSICADE

(2nd century BC)

Rusicade is a Phoenician establishment of which there is no evidence. The site was absorbed by the Roman colony of Sittani under the name of: Colonia Julia Veneria Rusicade. The town of Philippeville was founded in 1836 on the ruins of the Roman city.
