Nous savons que le premier coin utilisé à Cambrai par Louis XIV est daté, 1678. Sur notre jeton, le revers n’est pas daté mais nous savons qu’il est postérieur car le coin de portrait, rarissime, correspond à un exemplaire des Bâtiments du roi daté de 1686.
We know that the first die used in Cambrai by Louis XIV is dated 1678. On our token, the reverse is not dated but we know that it is later because the portrait die, extremely rare, corresponds to a example of the Bâtiments du roi dated 1686.
