NIVERNAIS - COUNTY OF NEVERS - LOUIS DE DAMPIERRE
(1322-1346)
Louis I of Flanders, as also under the names of Louis de Dampierre, de Nevers or de Crécy was born around 1304. In 1320, he married Marguerite, daughter of the King of France Philippe V. In 1322, he succeeded his grandfather , Robert III. He died at the Battle of Crécy.
