Obverse legend : IMP. NERO. CAESAR. AVG. PONT. MAX TR. POT. P. P..
Obverse description : Tête laurée de Néron à gauche (O*1), globe à la pointe du cou.
Obverse translation : “Imperator Nero Cæsar Augustus Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestate Pater Patriæ”, (L’empereur Néron César Auguste grand pontife revêtu de la puissance tribunitienne père de la patrie).


Reverse legend : ANNONA - AVGVSTI - CERES// SC.
Reverse description : Annona (l’Annone) debout à gauche, tournée à droite, tenant une corne d’abondance face à Cérès assise à droite, tournée à gauche, tenant une torche et des épis ; au milieu, un modius posé sur un autel paré avec une poupe de navire à l’arrière plan.
Reverse translation : “Annona Augusti Ceres”, (L’Annone de l’auguste Cérès).

(10/13/54 to 06/09/68) Nero Claudius Cæsar Drusus Germanicus

Monetary reform 64 allowed to restore state finances while supporting the people of the Empire the price thereof. Nero then went to Greece, where he performed on stage and proclaimed "Freedom of Greece." Excess the Emperor cause at the beginning of the year 68 a wave of discontent which culminated in the rebellion of Vindex in Gaul, Galba and Otho Spain. Nero is declared a public enemy by the Senate. He committed suicide on June 9 not to fall alive into the hands of his enemies.
