Commentary
L’interdiction de la représentation de l’homme et des animaux valorise grandement l’écriture, d’autant plus que le Coran dit explicitement que l’art d’écrire est d’essence divine (sourate 96, verset 4). Les inscriptions ont donc à la fois une fonction de prosélytisme religieux et un rôle esthétique.

This dynasty was founded in 1237 by Mohammed Ben Nasar when he created the Emirate of Granada. It lasts until January 2, 1492 and the victory of Isabella the Catholic and Ferdinand II of Aragon. It was during this period that the Alhambra was built, a palace with Hispano-Muslim architecture, a marvel still widely visited today!.
