Historical background
MYSIA - GAMBRION
(4th - 3rd century BC)
We have little information on this island city, located not far from Pergame whose first coinage seems to begin at the beginning of the 4th century BC with Gorgion, dynast around 399 BC reported by Xenophon, Hellenic (III. 1.6).
