Exemplaire sur un tout petit flan, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Portrait magnifique minuscule. Joli revers. Très belle patine vert noir

Commentary


Seuls deux exemplaires sont conservés au Cabinet des médailles de la BNF (SNG. France 5, n° 1587-1588, pl. 79) avec des poids très différents, 1,17 g et 0,77 g et au moins deux millimètres de diamètre. Notre exemplaire est plus proche du second exemplaire.

Pergame, located about twenty kilometers from the Mysian coast was in a fertile region, the Caicos Valley. Founded at an unknown date, it gained importance from Alexander III the Great. The city experienced a period of splendor under the energetic domination of the Attalids.
