Commentary

Après le verdict de la Cour internationale de Justice, le Maroc organisa la marche verte (350 000 volontaires) le 6 novembre 1975 pour marquer la volonté d'une souveraineté marocaine sur le territoire de l’ancien Sahara Espagnol.
Ceci emmena l'Espagne à signer les accords tripartites (Espagne, Maroc, Mauritanie) le 24 novembre 1975 à Madrid pour officialiser le partage à proportion de deux tiers contre un tiers au profit du Maroc et de la Mauritanie.
Le retrait des troupes espagnoles, décidé peu avant la mort de Franco, s'effectua entre 1975 et 1976..
Following the verdict of the International Court of Justice, Morocco organized the Green March (350,000 volunteers) on November 6, 1975, to demonstrate its desire for Moroccan sovereignty over the territory of the former Spanish Sahara. This led Spain to sign the tripartite agreements (Spain, Morocco, Mauritania) on November 24, 1975, in Madrid, to formalize the division in the proportion of two-thirds to one-third for Morocco and Mauritania. The withdrawal of Spanish troops, decided shortly before Franco's death, took place between 1975 and 1976.
