Commentary

Obole uniface réputée unique. Le motif du droit se retrouve sur des deniers portant une tête barbue de face dont une obole uniface à la tête barbue est également connue. Le coin de droit a également été utilisé pour des deniers. Philippe Schiesser et Bernard Séguin dans les Cahiers Numismatiques n° 222 de décembre 2019, ont publié une étude consacrée aux deniers avec tête de face et les attribuent au Poitou ou à l’Anjou se basant sur une carte de répartition de différentes découvertes.

The obverse die has also been used for denarii. Philippe Schiesser and Bernard Séguin, in Cahiers Numismatiques No. 222 of December 2019, published a study devoted to denarii with a head facing forward and attribute them to Poitou or Anjou based on a distribution map of various discoveries
