Médaille dans sa capsule et son écrin rouge timbré AC / 2 JUILLET 2011 en lettres argentés, avec un intérieur en feutrine rouge et soie blanche. Le carton blanc timbré du monogramme du couple présente des taches rouges suite à la décoloration d’un autre écrin.

Les médailles commémoratives, émises pour célébrer es dates importantes des Princes de la Principauté de Monaco, sont offertes en souvenir aux monégasques lors des festivités liées à ces événements. Cette médaille a été offerte aux monégasques lors de la réception donnée en leur honneur le 1er juillet.

Le mariage civil du prince Albert II de Monaco et de Charlene Wittstock a eu lieu le 1er juillet 2011. Le mariage religieux, quant à lui, s'est tenu le 2 juillet 2011. Les deux cérémonies se sont déroulées à Monaco..
