Commentary

La demi-pezzetta correspond à une pièce de 1 sol et 6 deniers, 18 deniers, 6 liards ou 3 blancs. Monaco au début des années 1730 avait besoin de petites monnaies divisionnaires et le chevalier Grimaldi, qui administrait la principauté au nom d'Honoré III, fit frapper des petites quantités de pezzetta, demi-pezzetta, dardenne et liard.
