Exemplaire sur flan irrégulier, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Belle tête de Cérès. Revers de style fin bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine de médaillier avec reflets mordorés irisés

MEMMIA

Caius Memmius belongs to the senatorial aristocracy. For a long time he was believed to be the grandson of Sylla and consul suffect in 34 BC. He would in fact be the nephew of Pompey, son of C. Memmius, quaestor in 76 BC, finding death the next year. Monetary magistrate in 57 BC, he will be tribune of the plebs in 54 BC..
