Reverse description : Armoiries à connotation médicale avec caducée et serpent, couronnée d'une coiffure à plumet et portant légion d'honneur en pendentif.

Commentary

La carrière de ce médecin d'exception, dans une période pourtant troublée est une énumération qui se passe de commentaires : titulaire de deux chaires (Académie des Sciences et Jardin des plantes) à 35 ans il fut successivement médecin du Comte de Provence puis de Louis XVIII en étant dans l'intervalle et ultérieurement l'un des médecins les plus célèbres de Paris. Il fut le premier président d'honneur perpétuel de l'Académie de Médecine.
